Barcelona beer company (Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona)

T-shirt design

Over the years, Barcelona has transformed into a big tourist city. The city is full of novel souvenirs with pictures of famous buildings by the sea and the sun, creating an image of a bright Mediterranean city.

When the Barcelona beer company Moritz asked me to design a T-shirt, I wanted to create something as an antithesis to the image of the city that always shows an immaculate brand.

So, I represented the real life of Barcelona, trying to be as less advertising as possible. In Barcelona, squashed empty cans are what you see every day at a party in a flat, in the streets or in the squares, among others. In this case, this can is neither Coca Cola nor Heineken. What’s more, being a Moritz can, you can recognize an iconic image reminiscent of Barcelona.

Con los años, Barcelona se ha transformado en una gran ciudad turística. La ciudad está llena de recuerdos novedosos con imágenes de edificios famosos junto al mar y el sol, creando una imagen de ciudad mediterránea luminosa.

Cuando la empresa cervecera de Barcelona Moritz me pidió que diseñara una camiseta, quería crear algo como una antítesis de la imagen de la ciudad que siempre muestra una marca inmaculada.

Así pues, representé la vida real de Barcelona intentando ser lo menos publicitario posible de la siguiente manera: en la Ciudad Condal, las latas vacías aplastadas son lo que ves todos los días en una fiesta en un piso, en las calles o en las plazas, entre otros. En este caso, esta lata no es ni de Coca Cola ni de Heineken. Es más, al ser una lata de Moritz, se puede reconocer una imagen icónica que recuerda a Barcelona.

バルセロナは年々、巨大な観光都市へと変貌している。明るい地中海都市のイメージを打ち出した、海や太陽とともに有名建築物の絵をあしらったおしゃれなお土産品であふれている。
バルセロナのビール会社モリッツからTシャツデザインの依頼を受けたとき、こういった表面的なクリーンさを持つイメージに対するアンチテーゼのようなものを作ろうと思った。ブランドや街の宣伝のようになるのをなるべく避けながら、バルセロナの実生活を表現したいと思った。

握り潰された空き缶は、夕食時やアパートのパーティーで、または屋外の通りや広場で、日常生活の中で目にするものだ。この缶はコカコーラやハイネケンではない。モリッツの缶であることによって、バルセロナの瞬間を切り取った絵であることが分かる。

Logotipo de una marca para “espardenyas”. Para crear el logo, busqué una imagen ligera y fresca. (El proyecto fue realizado durante las prácticas en Hangar Design Group)

Kitakyushu car company (Sakamoto Jidousha 坂本自動車)

Work done for a car sales and repair company. In its design, above all, the letter of the kanji “car” stands out, which is designed in the shape of a wheel to accentuate that it is a car company.

Trabajo realizado para una empresa de venta y reparación de automóviles. En su diseño, sobre todo, destaca la letra del kanji “coche” que está diseñada en forma de rueda para acentuar que se trata de una empresa de automóviles.

自動車の販売・修理会社のロゴ。車の会社であることを強調するために「車」の漢字を、丸い車輪の形にデザインしてある。

Barcelona Bed & Breakfast (ANBA Boutique)

The logo is based on the modernist-style wall pattern found in the hotel building, and to match this I designed a elegant and firm typeface. The color tone also matches the design of the building.

Finally, a fellow designer added “Bed & Breakfast” in italics below the logo. (The project was carried out during the internship at Hangar Design Group)

El logotipo se basa en el patrón diseñado de estilo modernista de la pared que se encuentra en el edificio del hotel y, para combinar con este, diseñé una tipografía elegante y firme. El tono del color también coincide con el diseño del edificio.

Finalmente, un compañero diseñador agregó “Bed & Breakfast” en cursiva debajo del logo. (El proyecto fue realizado durante las prácticas en Hangar Design Group)

ホテルのあるモデルニスモ建築のファサード面のパターン装飾に着目し、そのデザインを用いたロゴマークに、エレガントで芯のある字体をデザインして組み合わせた。色調も建物のデザインに合わせてある。
最後に、同僚のデザイナーが「Bed＆Breakfast」をイタリック体で追加した。（Hanger Design Groupでのインターン時に作成）

Barcelona Hotel (Chez Moi Hotel Barcelona)

To decorate insideI the hotel, I was commissioned to draw the door and window of the hotel. Later, I was asked to design a business card using that drawing.

Para decorar el hotel, me solicitaron que dibujara la puerta y la ventana de éste. Más tarde, me encargaron que diseñara una tarjeta de visita con el dibujo realizado anteriormente.

ホテル内に飾るための、道に面したホテルへの扉と窓の絵を頼まれ、次にそれを使った名刺のデザインの依頼を受けた。
